Lately I seem to have found a ton of great resources for photographers. I LOVE that the photography industry is so open and willing to share information–and I love the internet for making it so easy. I thought I’d share them here, just in case my photographer friends have missed any of them. :)
creativeLIVE | It took me a while to catch onto creativeLIVE for whatever reason. But it is an awesome resource for all types of photographers. They run live classes online with successful photographers teaching that are available to watch for free, then you can purchase the course if you want. Two recent courses I would recommend are: Jasmine Star’s Building Your Wedding Photography Business course and Zack Arias Foundations of a Working Photographer. I love love love creativeLIVE. :)
Zach and Jody Gray | The Grays are a wedding photographer couple who I’ve recently started taking notice of–they give a lot to the photography industry. They post tips and videos on their blog, have been contributing a ton of great stuff to the [ b ] school, and did an interview with Dane Sanders recently.
IttyBiz | Marketing is probably the hardest part of the photography business for me. Naomi Dunford runs IttyBiz and she is a marketing GENIUS. I have bought a few of her e-books and have been really happy with them. She runs really good free marketing email courses too, so I recommend subscribing to her email list. I just finished this one and had some amazing revelations along the way about my business. One warning… she is a big time POTTY MOUTH. So read at your own risk. :)
Jasmine Star’s FAQ posts | I know pretty much everyone in the world reads Jasmine Star’s blog, but JUST IN CASE you don’t, at least check in on her FAQ posts once in a while. I love them.
And last, I just want to give one more plug for getting on Twitter if you aren’t yet–seriously, that is how I find a ton of great links and information.
